Ohoho, I fail. I wanted to get a few shots of my Obscure cosplay with the correct hair and makeup (because I can't seem to get it right at cons O_o) while I still had my blond hair. I didn't want to kill my DA with the pictures, so I figured I'd put the unedited ones and a couple extras here. This is FAR from all the pictures I took though. YESSSSS my hair is back to it's red color! X3 It took a little while to get it the way I wanted it because the salon my aunt took me to (she took me to get my hair done as an early Christmas gift) didn't have the vibrant red I wanted. So it started out as orange. Hehe, not quite there yet.



So I dyed it a more vibrant red on my own, even though I promised my aunt I wouldn't mess with my own hair again. Here it is right after it was finished.



And here it is styled like I like it. :3



And jazzed up a little bit. XD I put it up in a fauxhawk (which took a lot of spray and gel) and had fun playing with some makeup.

I'M GOING TO A DIR EN GREY CONCERT!!!!! I am sooooo excited for it, I can't wait! This'll be my first concert, excluding that Eric Clapton concert that was mainly for my parents and brother. Not like I didn't enjoy it, I'm just not a huge fan of Eric Clapton... Yeah. Dir en grey isn't until November though. T^T Long time to wait.

I have another essay to work on right now, but I just really don't feel like doing it. I think I'll go play Persona 3 instead.

Kakkoicon is on Friday FTW!! Yeah... still so much stuff to do and I am SUCH a chronic procrastinator. It's horrid, it must be a disease.

I bought my makeup for my Ulquiorra costume today and it is so cool. :D It's... like super pale but I don't look clownish white, it's almost exactly what I was trying for. A little grayer might have been nice, but that's so minor, I'm not complaining. And since I'm talking of Ulquiorra, thank you so much Stephanie for making my Ulquiorra sword, it's so spiffy. :3 I love it, why are you so awesome?

*coughcough* Yeah enough about cosplay. I'm cool I swear. O.o I've been having an art block lately. I feel like everything I draw is the same and whenever I try to draw something different it just sucks. I should be worrying about my essay instead, dagnabit! I just... really don't care... yeah. Really, how will American History help me at all in the future? Don't be all clever and answer, that was a rhetorical question.

Everything just keeps leading me back to that essay. It's a sign, I need to go work on it.
This journal had a point, really. But I got hungry and ate it before it could be made, so I apologize.

Aftermath of a convention: You walk around in real life and see some normal person and think they're cosplaying.

Aftermath of orchestra camp: You walk down the street and see somone with a briefcase and think it's a violin. It happened to me today.

It's funny how you get used to things like that. Um yeah. Orchestra camp was awesome as usual, we played Tchaikovsky's fourth symphony finale, Dance of the Comedians by Smetna and a piece called Danza that I cannot remember who the composer was. Tchaik... mediocre heavens it was fast. O.o We were supposed to record for the CDs on Friday and the concert was supposed to be on Saturday but for some reason they didn't have the recording equipment set up on Friday so we had to record on Saturday morning. Soooo tiring having to go through the whole program twice... more than twice actually, we had to splice parts of the songs so we had to play them multiple times.

Yeah, done being full of nerd.

I am procrastinating on my AP U.S. History essay, but it WILL get done!! However I have accomplished much in my non-practicing time including writing a comic page from part of my story (Noki intro FTW!) adding many apps to my facebook and caught up on all my internet stuff from my week gone. ^^ In other words, I'm just avoiding that essay. I actually feel like doing something productive... just not what I'm supposed to. The essay time and costume time conflict within me and then I just give up and internet. Not good

I'm in some serious need of opinions here! I can't get my Chrono wig looking quite right, so I'm going to upload the pics here for convenience.

Here are some pics of my wig currently. The spikes look a bit silly, but there's really nothing I can do about that. I'm not a professional, so that's the best I can manage. But I think it may need to be cut even shorter than that... but I'm not sure. Oh, and I haven't put on the braid yet but I will, I promise.

Happy 5th of July! In true 4th of July fashion, we smoked out our neighborhood yesterday with our fireworks. We live on a hill so our backyard is in a sort of valley. All our smoke ends up on the street on the top of the hill. :3 Unnatural fog much? I wish I'd gotten some pictures.

Drive-in cosplay event next Friday! I'm so excited, I haven't been to a drive-in movie in years. One of my friends is going to try and get her friend's sister to bring their giant red van so we'll have lots of room. I'll probably go as Momo because it's comfy... but I'd love to wear Kite to the drive-in. Haha.

I've lost my ipod! I seriously think he ran away, I don't know what else could have happened. I bet poor Pico was mad because I dressed him in a gay pink cover. Poor Pico. Otherwise he has to be in the house somewhere, I didn't take him anywhere else. Pico come back! T^T

My dad unregistered me (What? What does that mean?) for karate. I haven't been to the classes in a while and we were paying for the classes even though we weren't taking them. But of course, he forgot to ask me first! Ugh, that pisses me off. So there's no way he's going to sign me up again if I ask because he just got refunded and I'm sorry, but walking ain't gonna cut it for exercise. If he had just asked me, I would have gone to a class right then and there. I was just too embarrassed because after being a lump all winter (I live in Minnesota, we hibernate) I was really out of shape. I wanted to build up some strength and endurance but no! Now I won't even get the chance to. I can't just run to exercise, I really do need to have a goal in sight. With karate, I was always looking to get my next belt. So I guess going back now is a no, so I need to find a new sport that's fun and hopefully not too expensive. Any kind of team sport is out. I was thinking Kendo, but I dunno how much that costs. Anyone have any ideas?

Cruise first. I got back from our Disney Cruise vacation last Thursday, and it was amazing! Couldn't expect any less. ^^ I loved swimming with the stingrays on Castaway Cay, they were soooo cute and squishy. <3 Oh my gosh, it was great. Nassau was great as well, much better than a lot of the islands I've been to. Have you ever heard of that water slide that goes into a shark tank? Yeah I saw it and I really want to go on it now. One of our excursions took us to the Atlantis Hotel and it was huge. I really want to stay there now.

I saw Iron Man yesterday (finally). It was really good I was actually sort of surprised. Everyone told me it was great, but I didn't really believe I'd like it. Which is sort of ridiculous because everybody knows I love comic book movies. Pretty dumb. *sweatdrop* I also saw Cloverfield and it was horrid. The movie had absolutely no point, they never explained what the monster was or why it was called Cloverfield and (special effects aside) I felt like I was watching a crappy home video the entire time. A while ago I saw the Sixth Sense... another finally. It's totally one of my favorite movies now, I loved it. ^^

So right now I'm avoiding my summer American History homework and working on a flash animation before my CS3 trial expires. Caramelldansen... XD. Yup, it's Zam Caramelldansen. Here have a preview before I lose it. I gotta finish it in the next two hours. Haha.

They're my favorite animals you know. :3 Anyway, I've been shopping like mad the last few days getting ready for the cruise we're going on next week. I had like no summer clothes, they were all jeans and black t-shirts. XD We just got back from MOA and I got the newest volume of Bleach. Much happiness for the Mia. Speaking of Bleach, we went to see the movie on Wednesday and cosplayed. I wish I'd gotten pictures, it was really funny. Somone asked me if I was a Jedi. XD I went as Hinamori, Stephanie was Gin and Jordyn was Yachiru. And playing DDR is fun in parachute pants.

I had this weird dream about radioactive animals biting people and turning them into freakish mutants last night. O.o

I went on this epic mountain bike ride last night. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be, I couldn't figure out how to breathe right and started hyperventilating on the hills and had to stop. I've never hyperventilated before actually and I started to panic and choke. My dad was nice and waited for me even though the trail was really easy for him. I felt kind of pathetic after I went home and they revealed to me that it was a beginner trail. D:

Had to get up early today to go pick up my sister at a sleepover. She's been to 3 in the last week, I'm kind of jealous that she gets to go out that much with her friends. Whatever, we're going to coffee and a movie tomorrow. :3 But seriously, who has a sleepover that requires the guests to leave by 9:45? Shut your face, that's early to wake up.

So I was working on this picture last night, and I closed it while saving it as a JPEG. So now the colors are all screwed up and I can't finish it. :( Sad, cuz I was kind of happy with how it was turning out.

OH DEAR GOD, MY EARS A FREAKING BLEEDING!! I just watched the english dub of Eyeshield 21 and... it's so horrid. The voices aren't all bad, they actually got Hiruma's voice... decent if not nearly as good as the Japanese voice. Sena's alright, Kurita I want to stab in the face. Somehow, they managed to pronounce every name wrong... And they cut out Cerberus! Why?! They cut out a lot just in the first episode actually, it doesn't make much sense. O.o And the opening makes me want to rip my ears off... T^T

Okay so, Anime Central. Sooo much fun, I loved cosplaying Azure Kite. My costume turned out pretty good except the belts kept falling off. And no one told me my hat was on the FRONT of my head instead of the top. Jorydn made a fantastic Alkaid and her costume was awesome! ^^ We got tons of pictures, but people kept calling me Kite or Shugo. I think only a couple people knew I was Azure Kite/ Tri-Edge. XD Thomas didn't get his Haseo costume done though. ;_; The dealer's room was disappointing though, I didn't find much I wanted. I did get Ouendan! for DS though along with a Vincent Valentine action figure. <3 And Ouendan seems harder than Elite Beat Agents somehow...

The Orange Market (our cosplay group) is throwing around ideas for Detour '09. At this point we're not really sure about anything but most of us seem pretty enthusiastic about each of us doing a character from a Miyazaki film... I just don't know who I'd be. XD I thought about Nausicaa but I don't really like her design much. Somone mentioned an original design Totoro, which I think might be fun (and hilarious!) but I haven't even seen Totoro. ^^' I am adamant about being young Hiruma though, I REALLY want to do that, so I'm going to do ES21 by myself. I'm almost embarassed to cosplay that series now because of that dub... ;.;

I didn't get tagged by anyone, but I found this in some random person's journal and thought it'd be fun. ^^ And I was bored. I am ignoring all laws of spelling today, okay?

1 - Cyna (16 year old girl who lived most of her life under the belief that it was 2000 when really it was around 2800. She pretty normal looking except for her purple eyes. She dyed her bangs to match her eyes though.)
2 - Zam (18 year old guy whose a ridiculous adrenaline junkie. He has brown/blonde hair and luminous *cough*glowing*cough* blue eyes that he covers with goggles most of the time. He likes coffee and near death experiences.)
3 - Xev (Zam's twin brother, also 18 but with black hair and yellow eyes. He's the complete opposite of Zam, really calm and serious. Oh yeah, and the two are running from the government because they're escaped products of human experimentation.)
4 - Della (Bubbly and sweet 15 year old girl. She's got blonde hair streaked with blue, purple, and pink. She carries around an umbrella that she enjoys whacking people with, but still in an annoyingly cute manner.)
5 - Helena (Snobbish, preppy 16 year old girl. I think she's under the impression that she's the queen of the universe. A really unlikable person. Cyna, Della and Kyte only put up with her because they need her as the lead singer of their band.)
6 - Kyte (16 year old guy, sorta quiet and smart. He's always got headphones on so you can never really tell if he's listening. He has a tatoo of a blue flame under his right eye.)
7 - Cade (Okay, switching stories, all of the previous characters were from the same story. Cade is the captain of the ship Conquest. She's kind of arrogant and full of herself. A really masculine type of female, although most people of her planet are androgynous looking, people often mistake her for a guy.)
8 - Jaeger (Four armed pirate, super quiet and secluded and sort of an outcast of his race. He looks tough, but he's really a pacifist of sorts, only fighting when he needs to.)
9 - Jack (Jack's an insane, cute little girl probably around the age of 14. The whites of her left eye are black and both are blue. She's designed to be Della's counterpart.)
10 - Walt (Oh noes, the little flying stingray? What's he doing here?)
11 - Angela (A VERY minor character in my story, she's an uptight but fairly kind scientist. She may look nice, but watch out, she's pretty tough. She may or may not play a big part in the story.)
12 - Noki (20 year old male from the first story I mentioned. He's got blue hair and one pale blue eye. The other one is missing and the socket bleeds constantly so he covers it with an eye patch mechanical eye patch that stops the bleeding. He's kind of sadistic and appears pleased all the time for no reason whatsoever. Unlike Zam, Noki is an obedient experiment working for the government.)




1. Who would make a better couple, 4(Della) and 5(Helena) or 2(Zam) and 11(Angela)?
I suppose Zam and Angela because Della and Helena aren't lesbians. XD

2. 6(Kyte) and 12(Noki) are marooned on an inhospitable desert island with no food or water, only a single-shot pistol. Who gets shot?
That's a hard one... I'd like to say Noki, but in all actuality it'd probably be Kyte.


3. Would 9(Jack) cheat off of 3(Xev)'s test?
Yes. She would blatantly take Xev's paper, study it and give it back as if nothing happened.

4. 1(Cyna) and 7(Cade) duel. What is it over, and who wins?
I don't know what they would be arguing over, but Cade would definately win.


5. Walking home late at night, 2(Zam) realizes 8(Jaeger) is following him/her ominously. What do they do?
Zam would be like, OMG, WTF?! There's a four armed freak teh following meh!! And Jaeger would probably FLEE, cuz I don't know why Jaeger would follow anyone in the first place... Captain's orders?

6. What might an accurate fortune cookie predict of 6(Kyte)’s future?
There foresee doom and disaster for you...

7. What would 10(Walt) be voted in the yearbooks “Most Likely To:” section?
Most likely to be squeezed to death by Jordyn.

8. How long does 1(Cyna) last in boot camp?
Not too long... Cyna's kinda tough... but not that tough. XD

9. After a rough week, 4(Della) goes to the spa and gets the works. 7(Cade) walks in and sees 4 all mud-and-cucumbered-up. What does 4 do?
Della get's all embarrassed thinking Cade is a man until she takes a closer look.


10. What is the first chapter of 9(Jack)’s autobiography titled?
In which Jack isn't born.

11. 11(Angela) knocks 8(Jaeger) out of the way of a car and is hit and killed. Does 8 go to the funeral, or just send flowers? What do they do at the funeral/ what kind of flowers?
Jaeger would totally come to the funeral cuz he's a nice person. He would act all solemn and maybe get kinda teary, but wouldn't say much. He would send some sort of exotic space flower.


12. What celebrity would 12(Noki) adore?
Geez, I don't know! Noki really couldn't care less.

13. 3(Xev) pranks 5(Helena)’s house. What do they do?
Helena would go up and complain to Xev who blames it on Zam because it was his fault anyway.

14. 10(Walt) and 2(Zam) are trapped in an elevator for 2 hours. What do they do?
Stare at each other curiously until Zam asked about the weather. Walt says nothing since he can't speak.


15. Would 6(Kyte) rather go on an all-day shopping spree with 8(Jaeger) or 4(Della)?
Kyte'd go with Della cuz he knows her and Jaeger's a boring person to shop with, and a weird person to be seen with.

16. 1(Cyna) and 9(Jack) team up to storm the Dark Lord’s citadel. A mysterious stranger, 6(Kyte), enters with 11(Angela) trussed up in a sack. 12(Noki) jumps out of a hidden doorway and attacks 3(Xev) because they think that 3(Xev) is actually 5(Helena) in disguise. What does 4(Della) do after they are knocked over by 6(Kyte) dropping 11(Angela) on their foot as they spot 1(Cyna) and 9(Jack) sneaking through the gate?

Whhhhaaaaatttt???? Della'd be like... Omigosh, WTF?!

Helena would order Noki to find a way out because she's stupid and lazy. Noki would be like "Yeah, no. ^^" and leave her there. She'd stand there looking shocked that somone would defy her almightiness and then get angry, but Noki would already be gone. So Helena remains trapped in the mall... wait, how could Helena ever get lost in a mall anyway?


18. What would 3(Xev) do with a cell phone?
Xev would... use to it call people and not be bothered by Zam. He'd get rid of all other phones and not tell Zam his number and poor Zam would be trying to call him all day and fail. T^T

Rescue her then disappear mysteriously.

20. A dragon carries 7(Cade) off, what does 8(Jaeger) do?
Watch as Cade chopped the dragon's head off with her cyber sword. :3

WTF, woman?! Get back here with my blue ribbon!!

22. 6(Kyte) has invited 8(Jaeger) over for dinner, what does s/he make for them?
What's with all the questions about Jaeger? He'd make some sort of seafood since Jaeger is a pirate and all.

23. What actors would you chose to play 5(Helena) and 10(Walt) in a romantic comedy with 5 being already involved in some way with 3(Xev)?
Helena doesn't deserve to be involved in ANY way with Xev. I have nooo idea about the actors, but Walt would be computer animated.


24. 4(Della) and 3(Della) are shipwrecked and escape in a boat. The only thing that they have with them is a sharp knife. What happens?
Della thinks sharp knife could cut down trees with a lot of patience so they can make a raft, breaks knife, and Xev's all like... -_-

I got confirmed this weekend, huzzah! Surprisingly, I found myself all worked up about it. I won't talk much about it here, but it really affected me more than I thought it would and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. But I don't want to talk about my religion here, I'm just asking for a conflict, so that's all I'll say about that.

Anyway, Anime Detour was the same day as confirmation which is PHALE but it got canceled anyway so it didn't really matter. I was planning on wearing Ulquiorra to Detour, but I guess it'll have to wait until Kakkoicon, which is probably better anyway. We drove by Detour on the way to the church and I felt terribly sad that I couldn't be apart of it. All those geeks standing outside looked like they were having fun. ;_;

But Anime Central is coming up, so huzzah! I'm SO freaking excited to go, I can't wait! A few friends and I are going as characters from .hack//G.U. / .hack//roots. I'm going as Azure Kite, my friend here is being Shino and we're meeting up with a guy I used to know in Indiana who's being Haseo. It's gonna bu HUGE, I'm so happy that we get to go. ^^

I deleted the majority of my previous journal entries. Why? Because they were LAME.

I'm bored, so I'm writing more lameness in my livejournal. :D I bought volume 22 of Bleach today, although it's not supposed to be out until February 5th... I suppose that's tomorrow. My brother already managed to mangle it... the manga is mangled. XD

I was offered a summer job playing my cello at weddings. Lotsa moneys coming in w00t! I get to do something I love and get paid for it, how much luckier can you get?

I'm going skiing for the first time tomorrow. Hopefully I'm a skiing prodigy or the reincarnation of an olympic skiier or I'll be forced by the school to take lessons. :P

I'm going to Anime Detour in April and Anime Central in May. Really excited about both, however my confirmation is the same day as Anime Detour. :P Might have to skip Saturday, that stinks. I wouldn't mind so much if I hadn't spent a bunch on Ulquiorra and my grandparents weren't flying in from Colorado... that's gonna be akward. Ah well, going as Chrono from Chrono Crusade to Detour and Ulquiorra from Bleach to Detour and Azure Kite from .hack//G.U. to Central.

Cyna- That's why I ask them to leave all the pieces out and just give me the ice cream. It really good once you don't have to worry about swallowing a piece of gum. You like rocky road, right?
Kyte- Yeah, can't go wrong there.
Della- Oh yes you can, I don't like nuts. :P I like any kind of ice cream as long as there's no nuts in it.
